All our services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England. The CQC set out a broad range of standards that all providers must meet to ensure the services provided meet their standards for care. The new framework operated by CQC is a positive step on from their previous model, it focuses on ensuring services are:
• Effective
• Caring
• Safe
• Well led
• Responsive
We strive to maintain excellent standards across all areas of CQC’s key lines of enquiry. The framework complements our own company ethos. We develop, deliver, and assess all of our company’s activities in accordance with CQC guidelines. The nature of the people we support means that, for their own safety, risk assessments must be carried out frequently. However, this must not restrict positive risk-taking, which is crucial for supported people to develop new life skills. We continuously analyse our activities, walks, and environments to stimulate the people we support in a safe way, whilst helping them to integrate in their communities, and generally improving their quality of life.
